Starting to show my Yunnan pictures with this piece.
First, to technical and quality maniacs - yes, I know about the noise in the picture. It is there due to a high ISO (didn't want to ruin the lighting by fill-in). Sorry, I like it that way.

Taken in the small village, inside a tiny convenient store. It was run by very pretty young lady, with a cute baby on her lap. From lack of other enjoyments, probably on a break from playing Majiang (Mahjong), this man was talking with a shopkeeper. Standing one meter from him, listening to the conversation, I thought the scene of him with a cigarette was quite handsome. Then I took a picture.



Look into his face, scan his eyes. Deeper and deeper. What do you see? What kind of history he could tell you, what memories he has to share? Think...

That's an amazing portrait. You were always good at capturing light and colour, but this really is spectacular. Yunnan to the core. I miss China, I wish I was going back to Chengdu at Christmas instead of Hong Kong.

Thank you, your comment means a lot to me. Im trying hard to be better at capturing the moments and, more important, the soul of the think that is captured. I am glad that it works out.

Yeah. Actually, I got a call from my mum just now, and I am going to China! Not to Sichuan, but to Hunan. Good enough!!! :#1:

That's just a next-door province so it's really good :)
Take some, lots of, many many pictures and maybe try to stop by in Shenzhen to give some gifts or at least say hi ;) hehehe.
